Emma’s Walk of a Lifetime

Emma thrived in CES Academy’s academic setting. She was an honor student who tutored other students and was a star in the school’s Mighty Knights program, where juniors and seniors were paired with K-3 students.

For many students, walking across the graduation stage is a milestone but for Emma Howey, it was the achievement of a lifetime. Born with cerebral palsy, Emma had always relied on a walker. Yet, with two years of intense therapy and the support of her favorite teacher, she set a goal that once seemed impossible: to walk 25 steps, unaided, to the podium as she delivered her valedictorian speech at CES Academy in Bradenton.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that determination, perseverance, and the right support can turn dreams into reality.
